FOUR CUBES TO CONTEMPLATE OUR ENVIRONMENT WITH TADAO ANDO

Washington DC

Designed in collaboration with Tadeo Ando and executed for the exhibition titled, Japan Culture + Hyper Culture, at the Kennedy Center. The center's main space was transformed into a room that contained four 3 meter glass cubes. The theme was to illuminate the current environmental challenges of the planet. Each cube represented an issue; global warming and heightened levels of CO2, waste, water and, the last cube was left empty to provide space to think about what can be done in the future to address these problems. The four cubes were subsequently installed as a permanent exhibition at the Château La Coste in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade in France.
