KIRSHENBAUM BOND & PARTNERS II

New York, NY

The offices for the advertising agency Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners were relocated from SoHo to nearby Hudson Square. The space was conceived with flexibility to accommodate the evolving demands of the industry. The agency occupies several floors of a large building that served the printing industry. The floor plates are 200 by 100 feet and created challenges for providing natural light to the interior of the office. The solution was to locate a variety of glassed-in meeting rooms and support functions at the center of the plan. The entire perimeter was devoted to a flexible working space in different configurations. Exposed raceway was carefully designed in conjunction with lighting to ensure that changes to the work area configurations could be easily executed. The architects designed workstations utilizing a standard industrial shelving system. Wood framed fiberglass panels supported by standard pipe and fittings provided privacy without the loss of natural light.
